
Carl Patterson is a seasoned veteran with over 15 years of service.
His duty assignments ranged from serving in the 18th Airborne Corps at Ft. Bragg, as a medic in Korea, and then finally an ICU nurse at Brooke Army Medical Center. During the Global War of Terrorism, he served at Landstuhl Medical Center treating injured service members from Iraq and Afghanistan.
For the last 20 years he has been moving up through the ranks within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. He is a Chief Consultant of his own consulting company in San Diego, CA.
While transitioning from the military and throughout his current career, he discovered there was a need to help other military members make that transition from active duty to the private sector.
In his desire to help other military personnel, he developed a program that can help them to be successful, not only in their current transition, but also throughout their next career.

About Carl.

Carl Patterson is a seasoned Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Aseptic Processing, and Quality Assurance Professional who is based in San Diego, California. As soon as he discovered the importance of biotechnology and the desire to help others, he was inspired to enter the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. However, his avid interest in all thing’s biology, microbiology, and biochemistry officially began when he served in the U.S. Army as a Preventative Medicine Specialist and a Nurse.
To date, Carl has now garnered over two decades’ worth of extensive hands-on expertise. Currently, he is the Chief Consultant of his very own consultant business called Vet Tech Consulting, where he specializes in various projects for pharmaceutical products in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Recently, he has presented many webinars and speaks at conferences so he can share pertinent information about pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Furthermore, Carl holds various degrees and certifications, including an M.S. in Biomedical Quality Systems from San Diego State University, a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Texas, and Specialized Certificates in QA/QC & Biotechnology from UCSD.

Transitioning to your next Career.

This is the initial course that will help you navigate the transition from military service to civilian career. The PACK program is outlined, and examples are given on how to use this principle when transitioning.
Students will be able to go into detail on each of the steps and will have the initial tools necessary to move into their civilian career.

Moving up in your new Career.

This is the second course in the series and will help you once you get into that ideal career. Once in your career the UP program will be introduced and examples given on how this will help students move up in their career. At the completion of this course students will be able to use the UP program and give examples of how this will work in their career.
Principles from the two course will be combined to give a full vision of how this will help students throughout their career.
